Job Description

Under supervision of the Head Manager the Assistant Manager will assess risk, develop plans, organize and conduct audits to evaluate the effectiveness and adequacy of internal controls, accuracy of financial records, and efficiency of business operations to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This position requires thorough knowledge of accounting and auditing principles, working under broad guidelines and able to complete tasks with minimal assistance.

What you will do:

- Stay current and comply with firm policies regarding audit quality, continuing professional education (CPE), and time entry
- Begins identifying issues/concerns and communicates such items to supervisors
- Participates on assigned audit/tax engagements including preparing financial statement reports and documentation supporting P&N’s opinions, performing analytical review of audit documents, identifying accounting and auditing issues, performing assigned testing and self-review of work product
- Develop an understanding of generally accepted accounting principles
- Assists co-workers with the completion of tasks and assignments to ensure continuity of service

Qualifications:

- Must be able to work both independently and as part of a diverse team with professionals at all levels
- Must have effective and professional oral and written communication skills
- Must be computer literate with the capability of performing at an intermediate level with respect to the Microsoft Office Suite of products or similar software applications
- Excellent negotiating, advocating, and verbal and written communication skills
