The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning and implementation of painting, staining and wallpapering of all Company facilities including both equipment and furniture.   While supervising the activities of the painting crew you must coordinate their efforts with other Departments to achieve GTLC and Vail Resorts goals.

 

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

 

  • Organize and plan painting and finish projects on a daily, weekly and monthly schedule.
  • Act as Winter Carpenter out of operating season in addition to Painting duties.
  • Supervision of seasonal painting crew, including scheduling and monitoring of work.
  • Track Market Metrix, Brand Standards, and NPS audits and scores and work for continual improvement. Know and implement the standards of each.
  • Plan, specify, and implement projects to improve the efficient function of all facilities. Create estimates for such projects and track costs.
  • Maintain an adequate inventory of materials, equipment and tools required to perform routine tasks without delays. Identify opportunities to reduce the use of harmful chemical finishing products, including the elimination of oil-based paint products.
  • Functional areas of responsibility include the painting and staining of all facilities to include both furniture and equipment both interior and exterior.   This includes wallpapering, drywall repair and finish as well as protection of all nearby areas which are not the subject of the current painting activity.
  • Support employee training on applicable OSHA and other regulatory compliance programs and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required.

 

The “must haves” for this position include:

  • Minimum three years of carpentry and painting experience.
  • Must have a working knowledge in carpentry and all phases of painting and finishing.
  • Experience in the use of table saw, nail gun, and other related carpentry tool, and spray-painting equipment.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • Organizational abilities
  • Ability to work independently
  • Prior supervisory experience

 

We prefer that you additionally have the following skills / experience, but it is not required:

  • Knowledge of Micro Main or other computerized maintenance program
