Position Purpose and Scope
The Assistant Print/CAD Designer works under the direction of the Senior CAD Designer in print and pattern development.
Key Responsibilities* Responsible for creating and maintaining library of seasonal color palettes
* Assists with research for current trends in color, textiles and styles
* Creates technical breakdown of all print and pattern layout specifications for design as communication tool for vendor fabric development
* Assist with development of pattern repeats and produces alternate color ways for developed prints
* Provides production ready artwork, in both print and electronic format, for internal and external partners
* Collaborates with Design on all colorway approvals
* Collaborates with Design on the visualization, presentation, and communication of pattern concepts through CAD artwork
* Efficiently manages workflow
* Calibrates color palettes
* Orders color standards for palette distribution to designers/production and over seas offices
* Organizes meetings with print vendors
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Textile design or related field
* 0-1 years of experience
* Excellent sketching and illustration skills
* Strong color sense and detailed eye
* Creative problem solver, resourceful * Excellent organizational skills
* Proficient in Photoshop/Illustrator; knowledge of NedGraphics a plus
