Job Summary:

This is a contract position working with adolescents between the ages of 10 to 17 who are referred by the judicial system for treatment. The Contractual Clinician is primarily responsible for the delivery of evidenced based counseling for alcohol and drug treatment. As this is a home based program, the Contractual Clinician is expected to travel to the client’s home to meet with them on a weekly basis. All duties will be performed based on the Contractual Clinician’s education, training, counseling experience and within the scope of the Contractual Clinician’s license or certification. The Clinician is directly supervised by the Regional Executive Director or designee.

Essential Functions:
  • Perform an intake interview and initial assessment, development of therapeutic plans for treatment and documentation of services in electronic record form.
  • Provide case consultations along with weekly and monthly status reports.
  • Maintain therapeutic services within the Southwest Key and funding source guidelines.
  • Comply with all Licensing Standards as well as funding source guidelines.
Other Functions:
  • Maintain confidentiality in all areas of client and program operations.
  • Maintain professional and ethical standards as prescribed by Southwest Key Programs.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Required

  • LPC, LPC - I, LCSW, LMSW, LCDC, LCDC-I with 1 - 2 years of full-time work experience with adolescents providing substance abuse treatment services.

Preferred

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology or in other relevant behavioral science field.
  • Experience with a focus on community-based programs and direct practical experience with children and family therapy.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
  • Applicant will be able to demonstrate cultural competency.
