Job Description

SMI has an immediate opening for an Assistant Manager with our Wildflower community in north Dallas. The Assistant Manager is responsible for maintaining the financial records for the property and assisting the Property Manager with the operation of the property. This position requires excellent computer skills, a positive, professional image and the ability to communicate effectively with prospects, residents and vendors.



Main Responsibilities:

  • Collects all deposits and rent and posts entries in Yardi
  • Prepares and sends notices of returned checks, late rent reminders and other correspondence
  • Contacts residents regarding balances owed and collects payment
  • Ensures that lease files are complete and enters data into Yardi
  • Prepares and maintains receipt journals, monthly rent roll, delinquency report, etc.
  • Provides leasing assistance to applicants and answers incoming calls
  • Assists residents by providing outstanding customer service


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 yrs experience as Assistant Property Manager in the multi-family industry
  • Computer proficiency in Yardi software a MUST
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Bilingual in Spanish and experience at a large multifamily property preferred
