The Field Specialist is responsible for coordinating and overseeing all aspects of in-store merchandising for their particular Division.  This includes but is not limited to specified training of Supervisors and Merchandisers and assuring that all client objectives and standards (as set by the company) are being met. Field Specialists are expected to be in the field approximately80% of the time. Much of the work will involve FEM resets, many of which are night sets starting late evening working through the course of the night.

Travel -- candidate must be available to travel extensively leaving Monday AM, returning Friday PM when assigned to FEM reset work.

 ROLES & RESONSIBILITIES

  • Manage FEM resets and projects (60%)
    • Oversee resets and project work in assigned division. Coordinate staffing and training for all employees or contractors on the assignment. Develop and execute necessary training and communications to ensure accurate, on-time completion.
    • Complete Surveys and Audits (10%)
      • Audit daily activities within assigned division through on-site audits and surveys and by reviewing the surveys completed by merchandisers.
      • Communications and Training (10%)
        • Develop training materials and communications to ensure accurate understanding of projects and assignments. Works with customer to develop audit and survey materials to ensure customer satisfaction
        • Recruiting (10%)
          • Works with the Recruiting Department or outside agencies to fill positions for Resets and Projects, or for continuity merchandising when project work is slow.
          • Meetings & Customer visits (5%)
            • Work closely with Account Manager to manage customer needs and attend meetings with customer as required and with TNG corporate staff when necessary.
            • Report Analysis (5%)
              • Analyze reports to identify trends and potential problems. Utilize IVR to monitor rep activity in order to verify exceptional service.

 JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education -- High School required, College Degree preferred
  • Experience -- 2+ years merchandising experience -- management experience preferred
  • Experience merchandising grocery or department store accounts.
  • Ability to motivate merchandising staff and achieve buy-in from store personnel.
  • Must have strong work ethic and a strong set of personal values including integrity, honesty and a willingness to provide great customer service.
  • Must have basic computer skills including working knowledge of MS office products such as Outlook and Excel.

  • Manage territory within budgetary goals
  • Meet or exceed customer expectations on project and reset work, audits and surveys
  • Establish and manage SLA's with the customer in the areas of merchandising, resets and projects
  • Develop and maintain good rapport and strong relationship with store managers
