Personnel in this position perform their duties under the direct supervision of the Director of Nursing. He or she assists the clinical team in patient care. This includes psycho-educational group presentations, monitoring of patients' needs and behaviors, and admission of patients to their respective unit. This position will work on both the chemical dependence and eating disorder units and requires flexibility. The work shifts will generally be 3pm - 10pm and will include both weekdays and weekends.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School Diploma accepted/Bachelor Degree preferred.
  • Good understanding of addictive process and recovery skills
  • Minimum of one year experience in the addiction field.
  • Individuals in recovery from substance abuse must have a minimum of two years of continuous chemical abstinence and must be active in support groups.

Duties include, but are not limited to, taking patient vital signs and monitor patient behavior and document accordingly, supervising urine collection, conducting crisis interventions as necessary, escorting patients to outside appointments, serving as a liaison between clinical staff and patients, documenting patient contact and behavior, regular communication with other team members, monitoring and identifying potential problems and discusses them with clinical team, and other duties as assigned.

Salary: $11.50 /hour
