Business Overview

Debt Advisory is a division of Global Capital Markets. The team is a leader in liability management and restructuring advisory services. Situations frequently support by Debt Advisory include leveraged buyouts, spin-off transactions, mergers and acquisitions, capital structure changes, covenant modifications and distressed situations. Debt Advisory executes tender offers, exchange offers, consent solicitations, refinancings, recapitalizations, restructuring and workouts (i.e. "Debtor-in-possession" financing). Clients range across the credit spectrum from highly-rated investment grade companies to distressed issuers facing imminent default and include corporations, financial institutions, financial sponsors, governments and multilateral institutions across sectors around the world.

As a leader in debt origination and syndication, our Capital Markets team delivers creative solutions for issuers and investors across all asset products including: Asset Backed Conduits, Capital Markets Strategies, Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities, High Grade Capital Markets, High Yield Capital Markets, Debt Advisory, Leveraged Finance, Private Placements, Real Estate Syndications, Special Situation/Distressed Debt, Syndicated Loan Capital Markets, Asset Backed Securities and Mortgage Backed Securities. Our Equity Capital Markets team is a fully integrated team of specialists dedicated to helping companies raise capital through equity and equity-linked solutions.

Job Description

As active team members focus on a product group, associates help orchestrate strategic advisory transactions. Key tasks and responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

* Develop and manage complex financial models, including discounted cash flow analyses;

* Perform comprehensive and in-depth company and industry research and track current market activity;

* Prepare presentation and other materials for clients;

* Execute transactions in close coordination with senior professionals;

* Participate in client meetings and due diligence sessions;

* Interact directly with deal team members and clients

Qualifications

* Associates: at least 1-2 years or experience in Capital Markets

* Bachelor's degree or higher required

* Must demonstrate a combination of academic aptitude, quantitative skills, as well as strategic and creative thinking

* Ability to manage several projects at once and work effectively as individuals and as part of a team

* Assertiveness, attention to detail, exceptional academic achievement, initiative, team focus, leadership, self-confidence, strategic and creative thinking capabilities, strong work ethic, and strong written and oral communication skills

* Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office and familiarity with market data sources is a plus
