Basic Functions
Practices strong telephone and guest service etiquette. Accurately records reservations. Warmly greets and seats guests in the highest professional matter.

Essential Functions
1. Ability to report to work on time in clean, pressed uniform ensuring all grooming and appearance standards are being met.
2. Ability to work with all members of our The View Crew and to treat everyone with courtesy, professionalism and tact; always promoting positive and healthy working relationships for everyone.
3. Ability to demonstrate and actively promote clear understanding of all policies, procedures and standards as stated in the The View Employee Handbook as well as the Standards of Service.
4. Answers incoming telephone calls in a prompt and professional manner.
5. Manages reservations to effectively seat entire dining room.
6. Practices complete guest service by greeting and welcoming guests and thanking them as they depart.
7. Possesses working knowledge of food and beverages served.
8. Able to properly set tables.
9. Understands mechanics of service and can arrange tables for large parties.
10. Maintains cleanliness and organization of dining rooms, entrance (interior and exterior) throughout shift.
11. Performs all opening and closing side work as required.
12. Maintains a clean and organized desk area.
13. Ensures there are plenty of menus for service period.
14. Appears and acts in a professional manner.
15. Performs additional responsibilities, although not detailed, as requested by a manager at any time.

Requirements

Job Requirements
Knowledge
1. Knowledge of the proper etiquette and service standards in fine dining.
2. Basic math and computer skills.
3. High school diploma and prior experience working in customer service.

1. Must be able to clearly and effectively communicate in English.
2. Professional communication skills are required.
3. Ability to take direction.
4. Ability to work in a team environment.
5. Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure.
