Summary:
The Programmer Analyst position is responsible for working with functional representatives within the HMSHost organization to define business challenges and provide software solutions. Essential Functions:
- Develops software solutions by studying requirements analysis and information needs
- Studies systems flow, data usage, and work processes
- Performs software design using software development fundamentals
- Debugs, tests, and deploys software solutions following the software development lifecycle
- Works with other departments, users, and IT Management to determine business needs
- Develops and maintains key components of the software suite using various applications technologies as well as writes technical requirements and specifications for new products or services
- Implements workflows as well as development of Business Intelligence per department standards and procedures
- Participates in product design reviews by providing creative and practical ideas and solutions in a teamwork environment
- Trains end-users in the use of new system functionality or modifications to existing functions
- Supports various off-the-shelf applications including system interfaces
- Requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related work experience
- Requires 3 years of experience within a software development environment
- Requires at least 1 year of experience programming in .NET, C#, or ASP.NET.
- Requires at least 1 year of experience with SQL Server Reporting Services, SQL Server Analysis Services, or SQL Server Integration Services.
- Requires excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational and time management skills
- Requires exceptional oral, written and interpersonal skills especially when working with customers
- Requires great attention to detail, ability to meet multiple deadlines and adapt to changing priorities
- Must be motivated, independent and self-sufficient
