Utility Operator

Responsibilities

Performs a variety of Production operation tasks to produce battery separators that meet or exceed customer requirements.

Performs duties which include transporting reels, spools, scrap removal, miscellaneous laboring tasks, assists other occupations and performs relief functions for breaks and lunches.

Removes scrap accumulation and keeps work area clear in the department.

Assists Team Leaders by performing miscellaneous tasks quality tasks and hands on employee training as requested.

Uncrates rubber and uses the cyclone system to Pump-Up silica tanks as required.

Follows set process parameters, and utilizes user guides to their fullest extent.

Works safely and exhibits behaviors consistent with core values including contributions to the Environmental Safety and Health Policy.

Will perform other duties as requested by Team Leaders and Supervision.

Safety ES & H

Understand the importance of conformance to the environmental policy procedures and the requirements of the EMS.

Understand the environmental impacts associated with their work activities and the environmental benefits of improved personal performance.

Understand their role in achieving conformance with the environmental policy, relevant procedures, and the requirements of the EMS, including emergency preparedness and response.

Understand the potential consequences of deviation from specified operating procedures.

Comply with all environmental, safety, and health rules, policies, and programs established by the company to the extent of training received.

Immediately, report any incidents and releases to the Supervisor

Recognize that adhering to job responsibilities and procedures regarding environmental, health, and safety is a condition to employment.

Education and Experience

High School Diploma. Previous manufacturing experience is required.
