Sales Merchandiser - Full-time / Part-time

POSITION SUMMARY

The Good Cider division has an immediate opening for a part-time, Merchandising Representative to call on retail accounts in the San Francisco Bay Area, Houston, Austin, and San Antonio. Retail and/or merchandising experience required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Selling skills to secure new business with retailers and on-premise accounts at both the individual store and headquarter level.
• Regularly travel to meet with list of accounts in territory to determine possible and/or scheduled merchandising needs
• Places proper point of sale materials on merchandise items in-store
• Originates display ideas or follows suggestions or schedule of Business Development Associate
• Report to management regarding inventory levels, marketing and sales trends, and customer feedback
• Organize and attend occasional sampling events at Art/Wine/Food Festivals.
• Achieve growth and distribution objectives
• Stay abreast of business/ market conditions, intensively plan sales efforts, recognize new opportunities and maintain records
• Build and develop the trust and confidence of retailers through knowledge of our products, persuasive presentations, and overcoming objections

Education and/or Experience

• Required to be at least 21 years of age.
• Required to successfully pass physical demands testing.
• Valid driver’s license and successful completion of background check. Required to obtain a California driver’s license or appropriate state driver’s license within 30 days of hire.
• No more than 2 moving violations within the past 3 years and no DUI/DWI convictions within the past 5 years.
• Required to lift and move 45-57 pound cases of product.
• Good communication skills.
• Experienced in reading and comprehending simple instructions, correspondence, and memos.
• Experienced in writing simple correspondence and procedures.
• Skilled in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
