The Lead Product Imaging Specialist will assist our Client in correctly merchandising products online and will be responsible for managing a large portion of the content that is distributed across the websites of our retail/wholesale partners. The primary responsibility of this role is to create, manipulate, process, organize, and manage digital assets including but not limited to images, PDF’s and Excel data sheets.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for the digital marketing space, an excellent understanding of graphic design principles, and an interest in product marketing. In this role being methodical, organized, and having attention to detail is a must. A familiarity with and/or experience with product management platforms are a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with clients each week to understand the workload expectations for that week and determine if deadlines can be met. May need assistance from 3 rd party support vendors;
  • Meet all scheduled deadlines, working overtime when necessary, review completed work before releasing project, and recognize the need for and request help;
  • Manage 3 rd party support vendor relationships, is needed, to meet deadlines
  • Maintain up to date knowledge on all new/cutting edge Imaging Software & Technology, making recommendations as needed;
  • Demonstrate sound design and production principles to produce high-quality images. Manipulate and prepare images for catalog, internet, retail and collateral use. Proof for quality and color accuracy and possess the ability to adjust lighting conditions and comply with GSI standards;
  • Must possess strong experience retouching for On-figure/fashion, beauty, Stills and Product imagery. Review new photography and color correct to match product samples. Add paths and shadows;
  • Develop& track catalog photos from concept to completion.Ensure final print projects contain proper images;
  • Work with the client and manager to determine an appropriate file exchange process (e.g. website, FTP site, direct to server, etc.) and supporting procedures
  • Train studio new hires as needed
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree or Technical Certification in Photography, Graphic Design, Communication or related field and2 to 4 years’ experience using imaging software (example: Adobe Photoshop, Light room, Aperture) and scanners in a Windows or Mac production environment; an excellent grasp of digital imaging, especially digital photography, common digital formats (RAW, jpeg, tiff, pdf etc.), color spaces (device dependent and independent ICC profiles and working spaces); knowledge of techniques for toning image data from various formats and sources within controlled conditions and common imaging software; experience with color management and device calibration; understanding of delivering digital assets over the web (ftp, web, email etc.).
  • Excellent computer skills with advanced knowledge of Microsoft applications including PowerPoint, and Word
  • Excellent mastery of Adobe Photoshop. Other Adobe applications such as In-Design and Illustrator a plus.
  • Strong understanding of graphic design principles and image optimization
  • Basic understanding of HTML
  • Knowledge of content management systems and/or digital library
  • Flexibility to quickly adjust to unforeseen changes in priorities and workload
  • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • An ability to work with a great deal of autonomy and collaborate with internal and external participants
  • Excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Some travel required
