We are working with a client in the Carnegie area and they are looking for a direct hire CNC Machinist. This is an immediate need for a growing company with great internal opportunities!
Duties Responsibilities:
Use basic measurement equipment such as micrometers and calipers
Machine parts to specifications
Adjust equipment to achieve necessary outputs
Calculate dimensions and tolerances using basic mathematics
Measure parts in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications
Select, align and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines
Monitor tool wear and replace as necessary during machine operation
Observe and listen to operating machines or equipment in order to determine need for adjustments or repairs
Set up and program machine to manufacture basic parts per drawing provided with the work order.
Select proper speeds and feeds based on the material being machined to maximize efficiency.
Specialized Skills, Training or Abilities:
Operation and Control -- Controlling operations of equipment or systems.
Operation Monitoring -- Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly and verifying that the product produced is in accordance with specifications
Problem Solving -- Ability to solve everyday issues.
Equipment Selection -- Determining the kind of tools and equipment needed to do a job.
Reading Comprehension -- Understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
Equipment Maintenance -- Performing routine checks on coolant and way lube levels. Keeping outside of machine and work area clean.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a production plant environment with limited exposure to elements such as dust, noise, fumes or temperature changes, and with limited exposure to mechanical, electrical, fire, chemical, or other hazards.
Work involves frequent lifting of materials up to 50 pounds and use of cranes for parts weighing over 50 pounds

Requirements
High school diploma or G.E.D. preferred
Secondary training preferred – for example: Programming classes through CCAC or Technical School
Minimum 1 year experience programming CNC lathe or mill
Minimum 1 year experience programming G&M code or Conversational controller
