Job Description
R&R Manufacturing is a family-owned machine shop in Hillsboro, OR. We are looking for a hard-working shop assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can perform well in a variety of roles. Position has opportunity for growth within company as candidate shows ability to digest new information and excel in given tasks.
Job Title: Shop Assistant
Pay: $12.75/hr
Job Summary:
Assist floor manager and machine operators in all aspects of production. Priorities will change frequently, and candidate must be able to multi-task and transition well from job to job.
Essential functions include (but are not limited to):
-Production: part assembly / packaging / inspection
-Driving: deliveries / pickups
-Secondary ops: paint / grind / stamp / deburr
-Machining: carry out "unskilled" jobs at lathe/mill/saw - neccesary training will be provided
-Shop Organization: clean/sort tools, material, inventory, etc.
Qualifications:
- Must be a steady, reliable worker (attendance is critical)
- Must be able to read simple instructions and follow simple diagrams
- Must be able to work independently after being given specific instructions
- Must have general knowledge of simple measuring equipment
- Vaild OR Driver's License required
- MUST PASS DRUG TEST PRIOR TO HIRE
- Machine shop experience preffered but not required
Physical Qualifications:
- Manual dexterity skills.
- Ability to stand, crouch and climb to perform duties.
- Ability to lift up to 60 lbs.
- Will be on your feet the majority of the day
