Job Title: Assistant Manager
General Purpose: Managers are responsible for planning, directing and coordinating the operations at Steel Towne. Managers are responsible for ensuring and improving the performance productivity, efficiency, and profitability of Steel Towne.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities: Coordinate, manage, and monitor the workings of all Steel Towne functions. Train, supervise, develop, monitor, delegate, and assist employees with work progress. Plan and implement procedures and systems to maximize operating efficiency.Sales, Marketing, and Customer Service, continuously help grow the company. Coordinate and monitor production, warehousing, inventory, and pricing of goods. Building maintenance and grounds upkeep to include lawn and snow removal. Truck and forklift maintenance and record keeping.
Job Duties of all Steel Towne employees includes but are not limited to: Helping customers with steel purchase by understanding and recognizing what type and size of material they need. Cutting steel, stainless, or aluminum to length with a plasma torch, band saw, shear, or gas cutting torch. Loading customer's purchase by hand or with a forklift. Delivery of customer's purchase in and around Eau Claire, Chippewa Falls, Menomonie, and surrounding areas. Receiving and shipping of orders, putting stock material into steel racks, pulling orders for customer. Answering telephone calls and general questions.
Job Qualifications: Industry-relevant production experience, knowledge of business and management principles, decision-making, critical thinking and problem solving skills, adaptability, and management principles. Completed resume, self motivated and self starter, needs to show up for work when scheduled, reliable transportation, clean driving record. Welding experience helpful, knowledge of Chippewa Valley helpful. Must be trustworthy and dependable. Able to pass pre-employment screening.
Salary and Benefits: Base pay starting at $16 up to $22 per hour, based on education and experience.
