Very successful and well-established manufacturer located near Central Islip, NY seeks an experienced Human Resources Specialist.
The HR Specialist will ensure that the company is in compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding staff employment and that company personnel policies are being followed at all times. The HR Specialist will act as a liaison between employees and management. In addition, will also administer benefits, prepare and process payroll, on board new employees and continually seek to acquire new talent.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree + 2-5 years of experience working in HR for a company with 50+ employees
- PHR certification required; SPHR certification a plus but not required
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
- Working knowledge of MS Office Suite; ERP experience a +
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment a +
- Extensive knowledge of general employment laws, EEO, compensation, recruitment, Safety, OSHA, AAP, and policy development
Salary commensurate with experience + comprehensive benefits package
