Diesel Mechanic - Full-time

Diesel Mechanics:

Responsibilities:

• Performs corrective and preventative maintenance on medium and heavy-duty vehicles.
• Working on various engines: CAT, Detroit, Cummings, International.

Primary Duties:

• Extracting diagnostics data and diagnose faults in medium and heavy-duty vehicles
• Communicates with parts department personnel to obtain or order the parts necessary to repair vehicles.
• Performs road test on customer vehicles to assist in problem isolation or to verify repair procedure.
• Can read diagrams and follow a diagnostics tree.
• Has the ability to work independently on service calls at customers location.  
• Able to write up a clear and accurate description of each operation on the corresponding work order, to include a description of the cause of failure and the correction and/or repair procedure used.
• Assists other technicians with repair procedures as needed.

Job Type: Full-time

Required experience: 6 years

Class A / B license a plus but not required.
