About this job

Summary: To service vacant and occupied guest rooms in accordance with ZaZa Standards.
Essential Functions:

  1. Responds to all guest requests appropriately for extra amenities or needed items in room
  2. Depending upon the occupancy volume, is responsible for servicing an determined assigned number of guest rooms for cleaning on a daily basis
  3. Know and follow proper cleaning and servicing procedures for all room types
  4. Keep the supply cart neat and organized at all times
  5. Gather own supplies/equipment amenities as needed daily
  6. Checks all equipment prior to and after its use to ensure that it is in good working order (no stashing of any housekeeping equipment or supplies)
  7. Report any broken items found in rooms to Engineering or supervisor
  8. Removes room service tables and trays from guest rooms and set in hallway
  9. Turn in any found articles to a supervisor or return it to the Housekeeping office. Follow proper lost & found procedures
  10. Follow all proper Hotel safety policies and procedures and use safety equipment as needed

Working Environment:

  1. Interior of hotel. Exposure to extreme heat and humidity.
  2. Exposure to hazardous laundry cleaning chemicals
  3. Potential exposure to HAZCOM materials/ OSHA training

Qualifications

Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to:
