Re-Imagine Your Culinary Career with Our World Class Resorts.    Take your culinary education to the next level with the Vail Resorts Culinary Arts Program.  Our 2 year rotational program will help you hone your skills in our fast paced kitchens, assist with developing your culinary competence and prepare you for a long term career in culinary leadership.

 

The Culinary Arts Program consists of rotations in four key areas of resort hospitality from fine dining to fast casual, casual, and banquets in our leadership skills, procurement, purchasing, menu design, costing analysis and scheduling.

  • Preps and works quickly and cleanly and is responsible for an assigned station in kitchen.
  • Assist culinary team in achieving labor and food production goals.
  • Help assure safe and clean work condition for all personnel.
  • Cook and prepare food to order on a daily basis to the standard and quality expected.
  • Follows directions/specifications of the chef and supervisors.
  • Demonstrate teamwork and cooperation with service staff.
  • Help the chef maintain all par levels for the kitchen.
  • Help to receive food and dry goods for the kitchen and properly account for such deliveries.
  • Will prepare food according to standardized recipes and portion controls using proper culinary techniques.
  • Follow all policies and procedures of Food & Beverage department and Vail Resorts.
  • Participate in all required trainings and development opportunities as a part of the Culinary Arts Program.

     

    Requirements:

  • Culinary Degree/Certification (acquired within 3 past years)
  • Willing and able to relocate for each rotation between Colorado and Wyoming
  • One year of cooking experience – preferred
  • Cutting Edge Safety Training and ServSafe - preferred
  • Microsoft Office Suite experience
