Our Milwaukee customer is looking for an Extrusion/Saw Plate Operator.

JOB SUMMARY
Set-up, adjust and operate high speed precision saw, maintaining precision sawing tolerances, sawing close tolerance dimensions to produce a variety of plate and extrusion items.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Determine and install proper blade size based on material type and size.
Check and replenish fluid for lubrication system.
Check and remove chips from collection system if necessary.
Inspect material for damage and proper thickness tolerance.
Lay out material, arrange sawing sequences for optimum material usage.
Move material using over head crane, forklift, or other material handling equipment. Perform manual work having to do with the handling of the materials.
Set dimensional back, speed, feed gauges to proper specifications.
Saw material.
Operate, read and understand Veneers Calipers, Micrometers, and other measuring devices to maintain specifications and tolerances.
Ensure required quality by the set inspection procedures.
Work safely at all times and comply with all safety regulations regarding the use of protective equipment and devices.
Keep work-station environment, equipment and machine in a clean, safe and orderly condition.
Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as directed by team-leader.
REQUIREMENTS:
High school diploma or equivalent plus one to two years of setup and operating experience. Material Handling experience or certification a plus.
Ability to read and use measuring equipment such as veneers, micrometers, and tape measures.
Ability to convert whole numbers into decimals.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, chart, and diagram form.
The physical demands described here and representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
The employee frequently is required to work with their hands and be able to be on their feet for long periods of time.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 70 pounds.
2nd shift, Monday-Friday, 1:30 pm 10 pm
$15-17/hr. based on experience
