COMMUNITY RELATIONS MANAGER

 

This position is Full-time (40 hours/week) reporting directly to the Owner.


We are seeking an energetic, marketing and sales-oriented individual to promote our non-medical, in-home care services for seniors to all the senior care and health care facilities in our community, including nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, assisted living facilities, hospitals, adult daycare, hospice, etc. This individual will actively represent Home Instead Senior Care at community networking events focusing on seniors and in-home care services, such as the Councils on Aging, Bristol Networking Group, Dementia Friendly Fall River, Southeast Massachusetts Alzheimer's Partnership, 4C Southcoast Collaborative, estate planning/elder law organizations, etc. The ideal candidate thrives on being a &ldquopeople person&rdquo and someone who enjoys building and nurturing an extensive network of community contacts to advance Home Instead Senior Care's reputation as the preferred senior care services provider to all facilities in our community.

 

Primary Duties:

  • Establish and nurture professional relationships with the key staff at each of our community facilities.
  • Responsible for acquiring and managing 50 key facility accounts to secure referral clients.
  • Meet with facility contacts at least monthly to discuss their priorities and how we can assist them.
  • Participate in all senior care and other networking events at these facilities and in our community to represent and promote our services. This will require attending evening and weekend events.
  • Respond immediately to all service inquiries from facilities.
  • Coordinate Care Consultations with our Director of Client Care Services and with facilities and potential clients and family members regarding their care requirements and acquiring the new client.
  • Follow up on all facility Care Consultations with the facility to inform them of the status of their referral and confirm services have been started.
  • Maintain ongoing communication and a consistent follow-up with all the facilities regarding potential clients and families who have yet to commit to service.
  • Work closely with other team members to coordinate and ensure that the facility client's care is fully compliant with their Services Agreement.
  • Maintain ongoing communication with the facilities about each referral client and with our Home Instead Senior Care Client Care Manager responsible for that client.
  • Create and maintain client records daily to ensure the most current client information.
  • Recognize and discuss with the Director of Client Care Service any opportunities to modify service plans to best support the ongoing needs of clients through our Quality Assurance program.
  • Provide weekly updates of activities to Director of Client Care Services.
  • Consult with Director of Client Care Services on any quality assurance concerns as required.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with clients, family members, facility contacts, business owner, colleagues and CAREGivers.
  • Help to educate clients, families, CAREGivers and office staff about available resources available to assist seniors in our community.
  • Participate in relevant office meetings.
  • Seek testimonials and encourage PEAQ program from clients/families.
     

Position Requirements:

  • Enjoy cold-calling into new facilities and building a network of facility and community contacts.
  • Outgoing and engaging personality.
  • Prior experience working in or with facilities and ideally possess a network of contacts in facilities in our community.
  • Ability to establish good working new relationships with facility contacts, senior care industry contacts, and facility clients in the community.
  • Possess knowledge of the issues that seniors confront, as well as the senior care industry.
  • Possess excellent oral and written communication skills, time-management skills and the ability to listen effectively.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills is essential, as well as sound judgment and good decision-making.
  • Must demonstrate discretion, integrity, and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly and yearly work.
  • Must always present a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Must have proficient computer skills in Word and Excel and the ability to acquire additional computer skills.
  • Ability to work evenings or weekends as required.
  • This individual must understand and uphold the policies and procedures established by Home Care for Seniors Massachusetts, Inc., (d.b.a. an independently owned and operated Home Instead Senior Care franchise).

 

Additional Skills:

 

This is a non-medical position. However, applicants with experience working with the elderly, working at a nursing home, assisted living facility, adult daycare or hospital, a retired nurse or CNA would be an asset.
