Showroom Sales Associate - Full-time / Part-time

Since 1948 Southeast PA trade professionals have considered Grove Supply a reliable and trusted source in the plumbing supply business. We added to our success in 1989 when we opened our first GSI Bath Showplace that showcased bathroom fixtures and faucets direct to the residential market. Since then, GSI has continually worked to give our customers a showroom where they can see and purchase the latest trends and innovations for their home bathroom. Through our sales staff the customer gains knowledge and understanding of the various components that are used in today’s bathrooms, and how it will benefit them when used in their own home.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

This is a full time inside sales position located in a professional showroom environment.  Your skills will be applied in all aspects of the sale and the sale support process. The work week is Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (8:30 to 4:30), Wednesday (8:30 to 8:00) and Saturday (9 to 3). Closed Sunday & Monday.

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

·         Demonstrate effective sales presentation skills through clear verbal and written communications.

·         Share product knowledge while assisting showroom customers with their product selections in a courteous and respectful manner.

·         Adding value to customer interaction by using good listening skills to assess their unique needs and expectations; thereby creating trust in you to recommend the right product solution to fulfil their personal wants and lifestyle.

·         Accuracy in preparing quotes in a timely manner, communicating product availability, providing required spec information, and confirming compatibility with other product selections and suitability for the project’s requirements.

·         Organizational skills for proper management of customer quotes, order entry, material purchasing, order shipping and quick follow up and resolution to any problems that develop in the process.

·         Proactively and continually learning about industry trends and to seek vendor knowledge of our product lines via manufacturer’s reps or vendor websites, as well as attending on or off site vendor sponsored training.  

·         Interact in a professional manner with industry reps, trade contractors, and fellow employees using a positive attitude in performing duties and co-operating with each to assure the company goal of a successful and happy experience for our customers.

·         Adhere to all company policies and procedures, ensure proper maintenance of the showroom in both safety and appearance, and perform any duties assigned that contributes to the overall success of our business.

QUALIFICATIONS:

·         Minimum High School Diploma

·         Two years showroom sales experience, preferably in the home product industry, or recent college graduates with Associates Degree or higher.

·         Training or sales experience in high end plumbing products or interior design talent is a plus.

·         Proficient with computer systems and application software (MS Outlook, Word, Excel)

·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that display confidence and enthusiasm

·         Personal traits of reliability, accountability, honesty, attentiveness, friendliness and be self-dependent, and can also take initiative to do what needs to be done.
