Summary:

Store Manager will provide effective leadership for assigned Retail Store. Responsible for store P&L: driving revenue growth; market growth and market share; and for effectively managing expenses, profitability and customer satisfaction/experience. Will be held accountable for an operating plan that is consistent with these strategies and principles and that delivers the expected results.

Essential Functions (Areas of Responsibility):

  • Accountable for meeting or exceeding sales, margin and profitability goals.
  • Collaborate with all Galls functional teams to develop and implement store strategies and practices.
  • Collaborate with the sales and contract management teams to ensure store can perform and satisfy customer expectations.
  • Collaborate with the corporate merchandising team to develop and implement a store merchandising and product strategy. Help build strong vendor alliances and provide feedback with regard to effectiveness of merchandising plans that are implemented.
  • Collaborate with corporate marketing to develop/implement monthly promotional email campaigns per customer base and additional marketing plans.
  • Collaborate with inventory management team to maximize the return on inventory investments. Accountable for meeting inventory objectives and effectively managing loss prevention goals.
  • Responsible for providing an annual sales and operations plan and providing quarterly updates, revisions and modifications to the plan.
  • Develop and implement consistent operating processes that are aligned with the overall retail strategy. Conduct audits within store to insure effective operations.
  • Assist in selection, development and evaluation of team members. Establish and manage performance goals for each team member and provide regular performance feedback.
  • Provide effective training and accountability for staff on GQ operating system, customer service principles, cash management procedures and safety/loss prevention etc.
  • Effectively operate and maintain a back of house warehouse process.

Qualifications:

  • Proven ability to manage all aspect of a retail operation-General Manager or Store Manager experience required
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing a retail staff /
  • Financial Acumen with proven track record in managing and tracking retail expenses and profitability
  • Strong Computer Skills – must be able to operate all aspects of “GQ” (internal sales/inventory/production system).
  • Specialty Retail and/or market/industry knowledge preferred (law enforcement, fire, private security, military)
  • Able to contribute to strategic planning process and show knowledge about opportunities/risks for the business
  • Possess decision making skills; able to assess issues and resolve any problems
  • Customer Service Skills to include listening, negotiation and communication skills to resolve any issues/concerns
  • Demonstrate flexibility and ability to multi-task.

Education/Experience:

  • Four Year Degree or Equivalent Management, Sales experience preferred
  • Strong experience and proven track record in Retail Management, Operations, Leadership, Sales and excellent Customer Service experience in large account management
