Lot Attendant - Part-time

Our Helping Hands team makes all the difference for our customers. In this role, you will work with a team to keep the parking lot clear of shopping carts and safe for our customers. You will lend a “helping hand” by walking customers to their vehicles, assisting with groceries, and leaving customers with a positive experience as they end their shopping trips at Wegmans!

• Proactively offer additional assistance, promptly respond to pages from the Front End, and ensure purchases arrive at their destination in the condition they left the store
• Assist Front End team members by running registers and attending to maintenance issues if additional assistance is needed

Results (What We Measure)

• Maintain the appearance and safety of the parking lot, vestibule and landscaped arear; gather shopping carts, pick up garbage, clear snow and lay salt as necessary
• Keep shopping carts clean and dry, wiping them down in the snow or rain, and offering additional service during the inclement weather
• Properly handle products, use equipment, keep accurate logs and follow sanitation practices in accordance with food and human safety guidelines and Simplification 5S procedures

Work Environment

• Work includes walking for long periods, pushing and pulling, moving and lifting, along with continuous interaction with customers and co-workers in a fast-paced environment. The work is performed outdoors. The average weight range of items lifted is 10-20 pounds with a maximum weight lifted of 50 pounds rarely. The work environment involves seasonal outdoor temperatures and weather. May be exposed to various allergens (things that may cause an allergic reaction)
