As a leader within the Purchasing team, The Capacity Cost & Cost Management Senior Professional at FCA is responsible for building and managing cross-functional teams that will be critical to the financial success of our business.

This role will lead a team of Cost and Manufacturing Analysts that develop the Cost Management process for the lifecycle of a part and support the Commodity Purchasing team for volume based cost studies and negotiation. As a part of the Product Development Purchasing team, the focus of this Cost Management team is to develop strategies and processes including developing new systems to support the management of a cost over the entire life of a part. This new team will be responsible for working on "Should Cost" studies, Comparative Cost Studies comparing other regions cost for components and developing a systematic way to compare cost across the various regions within FCA. The selected candidate will work to create new processes and systems to support this new Cost Management team. Additionally this team is also responsible for maintaining and supporting the standardization process. The responsibilities will include coordination of activities with the other FCA regions cost teams.

The selected candidate will also lead the Capacity Cost Team, the focus of this team is to identify the opportunities to reduce or eliminate cost and timing requests associated with increasing supplier manufacturing capacity or program extension. The selected candidate will interface with Commodity Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Cost Engineering, and Purchasing Finance. The Manager is expected to maintain flexibility to manage ad hoc projects in support of rapidly evolving supply chain and purchasing strategies, reporting updates to senior leadership as required.

The Manager will supervise eight analysts for the Capacity Cost Team and five analysts for Cost Management. The candidate will be responsible for their performance management and meeting established savings/avoidance cost targets.

Some travel is required to supplier manufacturing plants and limited overseas travel is required.
