The Quality organization is currently seeking a highly skilled, solutions-oriented Dimensional Engineering Lead to join the Quality team at Toledo North Assembly Plant in Toledo, OH.

The Dimensional Engineering Lead is responsible for maintaining a list of critical product and process characteristics and controlling their geometry in vehicle builds in order to produce quality assemblies. The Engineer will recommend best gauging methods and perform data analysis to identify special and common cause problems.

Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Help in development and implementation of training material within the assembly plant to inform production team members of quality control opportunities
  • Root causing dimensional issues and works with cross-functional teams to recommend and evaluate corrective actions
  • Documenting quality issues and driving process standardization through Kaizen and WCM methodologies
  • Interior and exterior dimensional validation, documenting Kaizens and root cause findings from build issues and part variation, leading cross functional teams through root cause analysis, launch support and interfacing with suppliers to lead the drive on corrective actions
