This position is responsible for the leading our business initiatives in the Military Sales Division (DeCA & AAFES) as well as leading our Distributor Business that serve various classes of trade.


The individual will be responsible for the following; HQ calls at all Military divisions as well as leading a broker organization in the execution of those business plans. In leading our Distributor business, the individual will be responsible for owning all aspects of the selling model, with a strong focus on forecasting and trade management and implementing continuous engagement of our internal partners as well as the Account leadership of the respective accounts that the distributors serve. Key processes incorporate the following;

  • Development and implementation of Sales Plans. Working with Broker Partners and Sales Partners to build an executable and profitable business plan.
  • Full leadership of Broker Partners in execution of those business plans.
  • Establish clear and direct communication process throughout the organization ensuring that all elements of the process are understood and executed.
  • Adhere to all aspects of Vendor & Distributor agreements to ensure total clarity in How We Work with our Distributors, Brokers and Customers.
  • Build Distributor Cadence around Business Reviews and Communications.
  • Establish Consistent Direct Customer Business Meetings (DeCA and AAFES)
  • Supports the organization in areas of product knowledge promotional knowledge sales performance reports industry information and marketing plan development and execution.
  • Responsible to conduct yourself and ensure your subordinates (if applicable) conduct themselves in a manner consistent with company mission values code of ethics policies and other standards of conduct.
  • The foods we make reach customers in many ways. We deliver directly to our customer's homes through our popular food-delivery business, offer well-known retail brands such as Red Baron®, Freschetta®, and Tony's® pizzas, Pagoda®snacks and appetizers, and Mrs. Smith's® and Edwards®

Portfolio responsibility is approximately $70mm. Military represents $15mm and Distributors represent $55mm.


Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.

Years of Related Experience: Minimum of 3 - 5 years of Direct Customer or Distributor management experience.


Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Competent in evaluating and interpreting primary and secondary research results and financial information. Competent in understanding retail food industry market channels manufacturing environments and multiple sales and distribution systems. Ability to read analyze and interpret general business periodicals professional journals technical procedures and/or government regulations. Ability to work with forecasting and financial analysis tools. Ability to develop and work within budgets.


Location: Field based; Midwest to East Coast location is optimal.
