Concord Hospitality is Hiring a BUYER in our busy Development Department
LOCATION BASED: Corporate Headquarters - Raleigh NC

SUMMARY:
The Buyer is responsible for securing the correct items and quantities for the best available price and assuring they
are delivered on time to the correct location.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take quantities off of design and architect documents and quantify to assure correct amount of materials and equipment are ordered.
Secure bids from various vendors and assures competitive pricing is received.
Issue purchase orders to vendors and track to assure budget compliance and timelines are met for both new development and capital improvement projects.
Follow up with vendors to assure issued PO’s are being processed correctly to assure accurate and timely delivery.
Provide FFE purchasing schedule proactively to Project Manager to avoid schedule delays and conflicts.
Help research and solve issues with FFE (Furniture, Fixtures and Equipment) at existing properties throughout the portfolio and come up with timely solutions to issues.
Assure purchasing reports in Timberline are coded and adjusted timely and kept accurate to assure up to the minute cost reports.
Negotiate, secure and manage the freight, warehousing and logistics through to installation.
File and Manage incoming information from vendors.
Keep contact database up to date in Microsoft Outlook.
Potential travel required during large installations (minimal).
Assist EVP of Development, VP of Capital Assets & Director of Procurement as needed.
Associate must perform other managerial duties as assigned, of which the associate is capable.

Requirements

Prior Experience in Purchasing
General Strong skill set in Office Programing: EXCEL, PPT, etc
ONLY INDIVIDUALS WITH HOTEL BUYING EXPERIENCE will be CONSIDERED
