About this job
Oversees the planned capital process from defining the scope of work through the close out process. Responsible for providing leadership, planning and technical construction expertise to the new and existing strategic projects. May be assigned multiple projects at one time.

Capital Project Development and Planning
- Collaborates with operations, architectural & civil engineering, design and contractors to develop and manage:
- Develops comprehensive scope of work document
- Defines/develops specifications needed for project completion (includes defining technical measurements and needs, materials used, etc.)
- Defines, develops, and proposes budget and workforce needs required based on scope of project
- Finalizes budget estimate based on approved scope of construction project
- Identifies and obtains permits from agencies necessary to execute project
- Manages contractors (relationship, bidding, and selection)
- Identifies list of appropriate/qualified vendors/contractors
- Send out project plans and requests for proposals to multiple vendors/contractors
- Establishes and maintains relationships with third parties
- Evaluates vendors/contractors on effectiveness
- Negotiates financial details and selects contractors to execute work needed on projects
- Plans and delegates project roles and work resources between store management, district managers, and contractor
- Informs management teams at store and recommends best practices to reduce disruption at store, maintain operational effectiveness, and ensure guest satisfaction
- Develops and defines project timeline from start to completion
- Develops comprehensive scope of work document

- Conducts site visits to monitor progress and to ensure Cracker Barrel quality standards are met
- Monitors project budgets and approves expenses
- Meets project timelines and budgets
- Ensures all close-out documentation is generated, communicated and completed in a timely manner
- Works as liaison between on-site operations team and contractors/vendors
Facility Services Department Resource
- Works with the facilities teams as a resource for developing new initiatives for implementation in the field
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience project management experience in facilities, construction, or remodeling. Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Project Management, Engineering or equivalent work experience
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred
- Excellent Project Management skills
