Stone Restoration Master Craftsman

SUMMARY :
Responsible for senior level stone refinishing on all stone types. Train, and evaluate, supervise and assist Estimators/Project Managers, and other reporting personnel.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Fulfill all duties and obligations in the Stone Restoration Apprentice, Stone Restoration Maintenance Technician, and Stone Restoration Craftsman categories.
Identify and work on all stone types.
Estimate and price jobs.
Makes recommendation for approval to purchase materials, supplies and equipment as needed for various jobs.
- Perform Stone replacements on both horizontal and vertical surfaces using appropriate methods.
- Perform Stone Cut-outs to assist customer vendors in upgrades and or fa ade modifications.
- Cut out and replace entire flooring grouting/sealants.
NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
- Other duties as assigned by the operations Manager.
- Direct and be responsible for a crew of 5 or more stone restoration technicians/ apprentices
EDUCATION/SKILLS
REQUIRED:
- High school diploma or GED.
Ability to estimate and price jobs.
Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, blueprints, schematics, short correspondence and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effective present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients and other employees.
- Communicate effectively with associates, superiors and customers.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Possess a high work ethic, moral and personal integrity and honesty.
- Be mature, flexible and self-motivated.
EXPERIENCE
REQUIRED:
- 10+ years of stone restoration experience.
CERTIFICATE, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Certified Stone Inspector
Walkway Auditor Certification
Osha 300 Certified
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
The position will required the following physical activities on a regular basis; Stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, handling and repetitive motions.
The maximum amount of weight required to be lifted will be less than 200 pounds.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES :
Ensures that the various areas of the job are prepared in advance for crews upon their arrival.
Foresee and inform the operations manager of materials, supplies and/or equipment needed to complete the work in a timely and professional fashion.
WORKING CONDITIONS/ENVIRONMENT:
Will be exposed to all types of weather conditions. Eight (8) to ten (10) hour workdays each week, with occasional weekend work.
