Job Details:

Blending and packaging Closed-Cell/ roofing foam batches
Blending and Packaging Open-Cell Foam Batches
Unloading Bulk Tankers
Shipping/Receiving
Blending polyurethane foam formulas to precise parameters
Accurate and timely completion of production batch sheets for each batch produced
Detecting errors in batch sheets and bringing the issue forward to production supervision
Working with others to properly prepare batches, receive raw materials or hard goods, packaging and labeling final products.
Product transfers, chemical handling and batch processing
Properly storing and staging waste materials, e.g. cleanouts
Documenting precise usage of raw materials on batch tickets
Packaging the finished product in appropriate containers with proper labeling
Unloading bulk tankers including completing all required paperwork associated with this task
Maintain raw material inventory levels; Notify supervision when raw materials need ordered
Maintain a clean, safe and efficient equipment and work area
Drive a forklift in warehouse area and production areas
Support the site objectives in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost.
Responsibilities in lean initiatives such as 5S, visual factory management, etc.

Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred experience polyurethane chemical formula blending in a production environment
Be able to successful pass applicable DOT HAZMAT training
Ability to routinely push,pull, or lift at least 50 pounds while performing normal unit operations
Ability to climb stairs and work at heights, as well as climb vertical ladders
Ability to pass a respiratory fit test if applicable
Knowledge of the hazards and safety precautions related to process operations; specifically how to read a Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and utilize the proper PPE for a chemical
Ability to use computer to print labels and, as necessary, batch sheets
Mechanical capability
Flexible frame of mind to deal with changing production needs and priorities
