What you will do:

The Graphic Designer/Creative Lead is responsible for creating, developing, maintaining, and evolving high impact, visual storytelling for the Pei Wei brand. The role involves the creation and design of original creative as well as modification and evolution of existing branding across multiple channels. This role will be strategic and collaborative, requiring the Creative/Design Manager to lead the creative process across multiple departments while partnering with the brand team through integrated marketing planning and execution. The ability to manage relationships with partner agencies, as well as direct the work of copywriters, photographers, videographers and web developers is paramount.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Manage multiple creative projects and related teams, from pre-launch through completion
  • Lead marketing teams in all creative endeavors
  • Develop, present and execute creative design concepts that meet the business objectives of the organization and that advance our brand strategy
  • Design (either original or modifying existing) logos and supporting branding, restaurant promotional and in-store materials, collateral, gift cards, menus, uniforms, advertising, microsites and special programs and events
  • Write, provide direction and edit copy for advertising, radio and video scripts
  • Produce and direct brand video shoots and manage completion of final videos
  • Collaborate, manage and provide feedback to digital user interface designers on digital projects
  • Work with brand team to develop and maintain brand guidelines/style guides
  • Direct and manage in-house and external agency photography shoots
  • Explore and implement quality and cost saving measures
  • Create and manage brand asset libraries
  • Serve as creative production/traffic manager for all internal creative projects
  • Project leader for department and cross-functional projects; manage in-take, management output for all projects
Requirements

What you need:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

Experience:

  • 3 years relevant experience required
  • 2 years of graphic design experience required
  • Working experience partnering with marketing teams by creating fully integrated campaigns and taking a strategic, holistic approach to design.
  • Strong working knowledge of the production process and a solid knowledge of graphic design principles
  • Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Quark, Illustrator and InDesign required. Flash, HTML, CSS strongly preferred
  • Experience with creative project management software (i.e. Wike, Basecamp) preferred
