POSITION SUMMARY: Cut, Measure, & Inspect product

Specific Duties:

* Read and understand specifications and apply that data to the visual inspection of glass tubing

* Set up Measuring Machine and perform dimensional inspection of tubing

* Cut tubing to length specifications using pipe cutter or knife

* Must be versatile enough to multi-task cutting, measuring and inspecting products being produced

* Perform preventative maintenance on equipment

* Record data in SAP; prepare reports as required

* Measure, visually inspect, load, and hang cylinders

* Transport tubes

* Rebuild ovens

* Check calibrations on six measuring machines, sign off on the results, and report malfunctions to maintenance

This company has 4 shifts open:

** – Sunday through Tuesday, every other Wednesday, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
** – Thursday through Saturday, every other Wednesday, 7:00 am – 7:00 pm
** – Sunday through Tuesday, every other Wednesday, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am
** – Thursday through Saturday, every other Wednesday, 7:00 pm – 7:00 am

The pay rate for this position is $12.54/hr, or $13.54 on night shift. After 6 months of employment, there will be a 20 cent bump, and there will be another increase after the following 6 months based on performance.

Requirements:

* HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent

* Experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, or warehouse

* Basic math skills

* Willingness to submit to a background check and drug screen
