Machinist - Full-time / Part-time

 The ideal candidate must be an experienced machinist willing to learn new processes and be a team player. This Individual is additionally required to work safely as well as effectively to assist in making quality parts, while completing the task on or before the deadline. Must be reliable, able to read prints; must be able to produce high quality parts (within specifications), able to Set-up and Run Mill and Lathe machines.

Duties include:

- Responsible for operating machine shop equipment to produce high quality precision metal and plastic parts to specifications.

- Operate machine tools: lathes, milling machines, and grinders, etc

- Review and understand blueprints or specifications for a job

- Calculate where to cut bore-shape steel, aluminum and other materials

- Determine how fast or slow work piece is fed into machine

- Select tools and materials for the job - Plan the sequence of cutting and finishing operations

- Position work piece on the drill press, lathe, or milling machine

- Monitor and control feed rate and speed

- Ensure work piece is properly lubricated and/or cooled - Regulate temperature and work piece

- Detect problems by listening for specific sounds

- Monitor the accuracy cuts; Replace dull cutting tools

- Check accuracy or work against blueprints and specifications

-Completes all work orders in a timely manner

-Reports any constrains or issues before the work order is executed

-Completes all documents related to work order as soon as project is completed

Requirements:

- 2-5 years of experience

-Must be punctual

-Must be flexible, detailed, and posses the ability to multi-task

-Team Player

-Pass background check

-Must be able to lift 50lbs

-Organizational skills

-Must possess the 5’S ability and mentality (Organizational Skills)

-Excellent communication skills is a plus

Preferred:

-High school diploma or equivalent
