Chemical Engineer: Manufacturing and Support

Job Summary:

This position functions as a key member of the product delivery team as clients bring their products up on new manufacturing processes. You will work with the Manufacturing teams of the client to understand new requirements and bring them back in house to your R&D teams. Through interactive exchange and development your colleagues in the R&D team will develop the new chemicals to be used in manufacturing processes. Once the final product specification has been set, you will continue to support the clients as they bring the new production lines up and running. This entry level positions offers great opportunity for growth and career development in a variety of Engineer, Manufacturing and Process roles.

Duties and responsibilities include the following:
  • Support the identification of new material and product needs for future semiconductor manufacturing technology.
  • Identify enabling technology for establishing strategic materials roadmap at R&D.
  • Assist with new material develop projects.
  • Establish close working relationship with key customers to seek future needs.
  • Conduct technical presentation and demonstration of new products.
  • Assist customer with process improvements and root cause analysis.
  • Perform data collection utilizing performance equipment, such as scanner, coater/developer, and metrology tools.
  • Documentation of both internal and external technical reports.
Qualifications:
  • B.S. or M.S. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Chemistry or other similar discipline.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in chemistry.
  • Minimum of 1 years’ work Strong data presentation skills.
  • Energetic, self-motivated, and detail oriented.
  • Prefered Equipment operation skills– CDSEM, cross section SEM, coater/developer track, exposure tool
OTHER:

Personnel must successfully complete a program of on-site classroom instruction or on-the-job training that teaches them to perform their duties in a way that ensures compliance with all job requirements. Prior experience and/or certification that can be verified will be considered in evaluating training requirements.

Additional tasks, as assigned related to smooth facility operations many include but are not limited to, participation on the Environmental Health and Safety Committee and actively promotion of safety and pollution prevention activities.

FURTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Ability to speak Japanese is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be able to work various shifts and hours as needed.
  • Operator must have a reliable means of transportation to and from the work site.
Salary $55K to $65K/year Depending on Skills and Experience
