The Senior Accounting Supervisor will work closely with the Assistant Plant Controller and the Plant and Administration Teams to manage financial results, maintain control functions and the complete the reporting process. The candidate will have the capability and drive to develop eager team members and maintain the cross functionality of this growing team.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train and develop the Administration Team. Including the facilitation of the Performance Management Program for the Administration Team.
- Provide oversight, development and support to the Accounting Supervisors.
- Assist the Assistant Plant Controller in all Budget activities including compilation of data, preparation of files, analysis of year over year performance, driving continuous improvement, and the presentations to leadership.
- Develop a detailed understanding of the Production Operation and the Systems in place, data flows, and the financial reporting structure for each process. Understand and explain the Y&E process, the interrelationships of data, drivers for key numbers, then take that information forward to aid in the improvement of operations.
- Aid in the leadership pf Administration driven changes including system updates, refreshes and reporting changes.
- Other duties as assigned.
- 3-5 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- 3-5 years of Supervision/Leadership and Project Management experience
- Proficient use of the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with server-based, desktop computer applications.
- Experience with accounting information systems including SAP.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Manufacturing (with an emphasis on Accounting)
