Deliver first class customer service to JCPenney customers via the phone and online services. Training Classes are ongoing and last 3 weeks, 5 weeks, or 6 weeks depending on the department hired for beginning Feb 26, 2018 and March 12th. See specific positions below for class times. Class start time for Feb 26 is 9 am - 5:30 pm. Class start time for Mar 12th is 3:30 pm - 11 pm. Various full time and part time shifts are available between the hours of 7 am - 12 am and may be selected during the interview process. ATTENDANCE AT ALL TRAINING FOR EACH DEPARTMENT IS MANDATORY. General Description

Provides basic to high level/de-escalation customer service via the telephone and other media sources with the primary objective of taking sales orders, suggesting additional products and/or services, or customer resolution depending on the customer needs. Individuals will be considered for the following positions depending on job history, skill level, and previous contact center experience.

Champ 1: Entry level customer care. Generally requires at least 6 months of call center/customer service experience. Applicants must be able to complete phone orders, establish a positive customer experience, navigate various computer systems, and complete the customer contact experience in a professional and respectful manner. Furniture Customer Care: Coordinates with .com Facilities, Customer Relations and Store associates on specific orders, as needed. Submits adjustments for simple, shortage, promotional, damage and incorrect pricing on previous orders. Handles escalated calls from customer. Generally requires 2 years of contact/call center experience. Class dates and start times are Feb 26th, 7:30 am - 3 pm and Mar 12th, 7:30 am - 3 pm for six (6) consecutive weeks. Corporate Customer Relations: Handles elevated customer calls implementing de-escalating customer service issues that have moved to corporate level. Advanced computer skills, including utilizing multiple software systems and Microsoft Office/Excel. Proficient mathematical skills, including complex fractions/percentages and basic statistics.Effective communication, including de-escalation skill and articulate written communication. Must be able to use proper grammar, punctuation, spelling in all written communication. Must be "thick skinned" in order to listen to elevated customer concerns and maintain a calm, professional response. Generally requires more than 2 years of continuous and recent contact center experience. Classes begin on February 26th and run for 3 consecutive weeks from 9 am - 5:30 pm OR 7:30 am - 3 pm. Available shifts after training are 11 am - 9 pm with rotating weekends with one blocked day during the week. Responsibilities and Duties
