This individual manages all activities of the beverage function throughout the organization. Executive Bar Manager will run an efficient, effective, and profitable beverage operation across all VSS-Southern Theatres brands (Movie Tavern, Grand and Amstar) under the leadership and direction of the Senior Vice President of Culinary and Guest Services.
Some Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· This individual will be responsible for streamlining the current programs in use and creating an improved comprehensive program, leveraging vendor relationships and best practices.
· This person will identify, evaluate and develop strategies to increase revenue and guest satisfaction within the theatres while ensuring compliance with all beverage regulations.
· Create creative programs representative of the innovation and hospitality that Movie Tavern, Grand and Amstar exemplifies.
· Work closely with the Director of Training to establish, train and measure beverage operation’s standards and performance.
· Directs all activities of the Movie Tavern, Grand Theatres and Amstar (VSS-Southern Theatres) beverage program.
· Works closely with the marketing department to support thematic beverage marketing.
· Coordinates the development and implementation of the beverage program that supports brand clarity and takes advantage of local beverage opportunities
· Creates appropriate beverage list enhancements, beverage lists, recipes and menu collateral, etc
· Partner with Executive Kitchen Manager to roll out programs and operation standards and policies when applicable
· Ensures all security, safety, and sanitation standards are met.
· Effectively utilizes all financial and inventory control systems.
· Works with Theatre Management team members to ensure proper product control and handling of all inventory and equipment is practiced.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Minimum of 5 to 7 years of Management in the field of hospitality, food and beverage experience.
· BS degree in related field preferred.
· Possess extensive wine, beer and beverage spirits knowledge.
· Possess knowledge of applicable local, state, federal regulations and other applicable laws within the multiple locations jurisdictions.
· Attention to details
· Strong commitment to delivering an exceptional customer and guest service with demonstrated initiative, leadership, and management skills.
· Must be flexible to work extended hours due to business requirements including late nights, weekends, holidays and new theater openings.
· Must be willing to contribute and support Theatre Management at all properties with hands-on approach to our culinary operations when needed or asked to maintain our business.
· The ability to develop short and long-term goals and adapt quickly when applicable.
· Develop reports, spreadsheets, inventory and other cost-effective tools.
· Through knowledge of all aspects of food and beverage planning, production, representation/service and controls.
· Ability to travel 50% of the time.
