Director, Digital Services

As part of the overall digital strategy, PepsiCo is building industry-standard enterprise-scale Digital Platforms & Services to radically transform and support its global businesses. In support of this effort, PepsiCo is looking for an experienced leader to lead application development teams to build an API platform and a catalog of reusable services and solutions using modern technologies like Cloud-native RESTful Micro services. This person will establish enterprise API standards and drive design, development, delivery, post-production maintenance & governance of Digital Services on PepsiCo's enterprise platforms. Will define and manage API SLAs per business expectations in the enterprise - tuning to various API consumption models.

The ideal candidate should have:

* A proven track record of leading and managing application development teams

* Experience in building and delivering end-to-end API and services strategy with Cloud-based API solutions on Digital Platforms for global scale deployments with high availability design, development and delivery. This includes building and deploying API services in a container orchestration model on a Cloud PaaS environment (RESTful web services, micro services, API governance, API gateway, API management layer with API security, API version management).

* Experience in similar technologies like Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, JSON, Cloud Foundry (Pivotal PCF PaaS preferred), Eureka Registry, Artifactory, Hystrix CircuitBreaker, Ribbon client-side load balancer, Hazelcast or Redis, Camunda BPM, Cassandra DB, Drools, CA L7 API Gateway -- is highly desired.

* Led teams to build and deliver applications using Agile methodology and CI/CD principles in large scale global on/offshore model.

* Experience in Order orchestration (Order-to-Cash) scenarios in a B2B context especially in CPG (Consumer Products Group) or Retail verticals desired.

* Integration experience with commercial sales and service platforms and ERPs (SAP/custom), and other back-office systems, is strongly desired.

* Ability to develop solutions to enable move towards an Omni-channel experience, and to interact and integrate with analytics and big-data solutions to extract the insights and expose them as services and widgets to drive commercial growth and retail execution.

* Prior experience in an eCommerce and digital organization to handle large scale high-volume customer shopping traffic and orders. Ability to drive personalized experiences using innovative technology solutions and services to drive higher conversions, customer engagement, upsell/ cross sell, reduce churn, etc.

* Experience developing focused solutions through small incubation teams to bring the power of APIs, services and analytics to drive innovation.

Qualifications/Requirements

* A technical (Information Technology or Computer Science) bachelor's degree is mandatory; Master's degree in a technical specialization is a plus

* Minimum of 10 years of application development team management experience with a total of at least 15 years in IT software development

* Have deep knowledge and passion around emerging digital technologies and their potential to change consumer products business and commerce

* Working knowledge of high scale eCommerce & digital marketing solutions is highly desirable along with proven experience in delivering innovative solutions from visioning to execution in an agile and iterative manner.

* Strong leadership, strategic thinking and a proven track record of driving results to enable business success

* Strong verbal and written communication skills, including strengths in meeting objectives through influence, facilitation, leadership, negotiation and team building

* Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders

* Demonstrated capabilities to multi-task in a fast paced environment

* Strong experience in software product and project management with emphasis on milestone definition and management of teams in an Onsite -- Offshore model
