About this job

Visiting Angels is now hiring a Scheduler to work in our Lafayette office. The Scheduler is directly responsible for coordinating care between clients and caregivers based on skill level and availability to best meet the needs of the client. The Scheduler will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Demonstrate dependability and dedication
  • Answer and log all phone calls. 
  • Greet guests that enter the office
  •  Assign caregivers to all open visits at least two weeks in advance while providing consistency
  • Maintain documentation for current and passed clients and caregivers
  • Maintain professional and positive relationships with clients, employees, case managers and referral sources while assuring confidentiality
  • Communicate and reinforce Visiting Angels policies and procedures
  • Independently respond and resolve any client or caregiver conflicts
  • On-call rotation on evenings and weekends as directed by manager
  • Demonstrate proficient computer and multi-line phone skills
  • Ability to maintain a flexible schedule to maintain our clients' care needs
  • Ability to actively listen and communicate professionally and fluently through verbal and written communication
  • Ability to multitask and remain highly organized
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in office setting required
  • Previous home care experience preferred, but not required
