POSITION SUMMARY
The Outlet Team Leader supports his/her Outlet Manager and Assistant Outlet Manager, leadership team,
and staff to execute store operational objectives that support the annual operating plan. He or she makes
decisions involving customers, team members, operational issues, business planning, priority setting,
compliance with company policies, and all areas of the business.
This position supports and drives Goodwill’s mission to help people in central Indiana prepare for, find and
keep jobs. This role demonstrates behaviors consistent with our Mission, Vision and Values, on behalf of
Goodwill of Central & Southern Indiana.
Hours of Operation
8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday thru Saturday and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday
Responsibilities
● Meets the following daily objectives.
● Mission integration: Integrates and represents Goodwill’s Mission, Vision and Values to internal and
external customers at all times.
● Performs outlet opening and closing duties, including but not limited to cash-handling duties, voids
and returns, and paid outs; answer cashier codes; manage commodity bin rotations; ensure staff
meet production quotas; price furniture, items over 20 pounds and showcase items; complete safe
and bank logs accurately; maintain trailer DOT records; coordinate transportation for product drop-
off and pickup with retail locations.
● Manages safety-related actions.
● Maintains a positive relationship with internal and external customers to achieve customer services
goals.
● Ensures proper staffing levels and staff management.
● Meets the following monthly objectives.
● Coordinates and conducts team safety meeting.
● Completes office, retail and janitorial supply orders. Maintains proper supply inventory and
tracking.
● Conducts LP, Safety, QC and Kaizen audits as directed.
● Spends 80% of your time on the following staff management and development tasks.
● Provides coaching and training to hourly employees on daily tasks.
● Completes daily objectives.

● Manages computer/TV, HH Waste, and forklift and machine operator processes.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
● High school diploma or GED highly preferred, or willingness to attain
● Military experience highly preferred
● 6 months minimum of supervisory/leadership experience in a service-related industry
● Previous warehouse and forklift experience highly preferred
● Demonstrated ability to achieve results through others without a direct reporting relationship
● Solid verbal and written communication skills
● Basic computer skills including an understanding of Microsoft Office products and Internet
navigation; familiarity with Google applications a plus
● Hands-on, results-oriented, driven to achieve goals, passionate, and basic analytical skills
● Heavy equipment: pallet jack, double stacker, baler and tipper
● Physical demands: stand for prolonged periods of time; grip, pull, and tug with hands; bend, kneel,
and crouch with back and legs; lift, push and pull up to 50 pounds; specific vision abilities required
by the job include reading a computer monitor, close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral
vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus; strong attention to detail and quality of work
including safety awareness

Starting salary: $12/hr
