Job Description

The primary objective of the General Manager is to be a direct representative capable of making sound decisions on behalf of the compnay. The General Manager will be responsible for working closely with the Director of Sales Manager in supporting the outside sales staff in their effort to accommodate customer needs.

The General Manager must possess good administrative & public relations skills necessary to enhance overall operations, and will supervise and train personnel in procedures established by the company. The General Manager will make suggestions/recommendations that could improve or streamline operations, and will perform (Hands On) or supervise all functions deemed necessary, and be available to assist personnel in performing required duties. In support of our mission, the General Manager will coordinate efforts with all staff members and provide guidance to all employees directly responsible for Customer Service, Operations, & Distribution.

In coordination with Human Resources, the General Manager will recruit, hire and train personnel, resolve personnel issues, handle complaints, which are referred to him/her, and take necessary action to resolve these situations. The General Manager will also ensure communications are handled in a courteous and professional manner, both from oneself and other Everlast employees.

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Must work in conjunction with Director of Sales Manager to oversee the development of annual operating budgets, as well as cost and productivity analysis as it relates to profit & loss for the Branch.
  • Work with sales team on settling claims.
  • Plans and directs overall mfg. operation. Assures compliance with applicable regulations. ( e.g. DOT, OSHA, ADA, HIPPA)
  • Responsible for a Clean and Safe Environment.
  • Responsible for Periodic Maintenance.
  • Must possess intricate knowledge of Quality in Manufacturing, Inventory Control, Distribution (packaging, on time delivery), & overall Customer Satisfaction.
  • Knowledge of company systems (PIMS) as it relates to Customer Service, Mfg., Inventory Control, & Distribution.
  • Establishes and implements short- and long-range Branch goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures.
  • Responsible for upholding existing procedures (approval of credits, inter-company transfers, receiving, and product specifications, etc.).
  • Responsible for coordinating daily/weekly meetings with Staff members to communicate the goals for that day, week, etc.
  • Professionally and knowledgeably contribute to the growth of Everlast Roofing through managing department personnel. This includes: Training, increasing morale, providing consistent guidance/discipline, working hours, cross-training, and accomplishing goals.
  • 100% Directly Responsible from the time an order is communicated until it is delivered.
  • Perform all other duties assigned by Corporate.
