Job Description
The Junior Sales Representative will be responsible for generating leads, customers, and sales through client prospecting, cold-calling, e-mailing, conducting demonstrations of the technology platform, and shepherding prospects through our sales process. The candidate will be responsible for influencing potential or existing customers to join and utilize our mortgage exchange. Those in this position must be able to listen to potential customers and determine their needs by maintaining extensive knowledge of the company’s technology platform, offerings, and value proposition. The position requires a service mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to remain flexible and work with a team.
A successful Junior Sales Representative will be an excellent communicator who can work well under pressure and stay motivated to keep trying when attempts have failed. The ideal candidate will be patient, confident, friendly, and persuasive. A self-starter attitude is also important.
The goal is to promote business growth by expanding the company’s clientele.
Key tasks and responsibilities:
· Cold call prospective customers using company-provided prospect lists to sell company’s value proposition
· Answer incoming calls from prospective customers
· Use scripts to provide information about product’s features, prices etc. and present their benefits
· Ask pertinent questions to understand the customer’s requirements and suitability
· Persuade the customer to join the Exchange by performing live technology demonstrations
· Set-up in person or conference call meetings for Managing Directors and the prospective customer
· Record the customer’s company information accurately in a computer system
· Deal with objections or doubts to safeguard the company’s reputation
· Go the extra mile to meet sales quota and facilitate future sales
· Keep records of calls and sales and record useful information
· Distribute non-disclosure agreements and application packages to interested prospects
· Shepherd applicants through application process and source additional prospects through data analysis
