Job Description

Long established Portland property management company is looking for a proven, dynamic leader to shepherd a healthy portfolio and a truly great staff into it’s sixth decade and beyond. We are looking for someone who has seen it all. Someone who has experienced both soft markets and booming markets. Someone who knows what “rent ready” really looks like, how long turnovers should take, how to acquire new business, when to pass on new business, what motivates owners, what motivates employees and, most of all, what makes happy, thriving communities. We are looking for someone who knows how to make everyone around that person better: at all levels of accounting, property management and maintenance. We already have managers in place who are, without exaggeration, the “favorite boss” of many of their employees. We want someone who will be the “favorite boss” to those managers. This would be someone who has the experience, vision and leadership skills to elevate those from the bottom to the top of the organization and help even the most seasoned asset manager grow.

 

The right candidate would possess the following:

  • 15+ years of industry experience

  • Experience growing a small business

  • Sense of urgency

  • Someone with a big picture lens yet command of the small details

  • Someone who not only understands the latest trends of the industry, but preaches the fundamentals

  • Must be a goal setter. We expect your goals to reflect the best interests of the company, the properties, the employees, the owners and the residents.
