Job Description

West Set Logistics/Total Transportation & Distribution specializes in providing third party warehouse and fulfillment services located in La Mirada, California. We have received tremendous growth and have an immediate opening for a Client Relations Assistant Manager. The position assists the Client Relations Manager in leading, training, developing of SOPs and providing exceptional client service to our extensive clients and their retail clients. If you are a client service provider with experienced in leading others, and are looking for a challenge in a fast-paced environment, this may be the position for you.

 

Essential Functions of the Job:

  1. Oversees the account representatives, who deal directly with customers and is the first point of contact.

  2. Train and instruct employees in job duties and company policies or arrange for training to be provided.

  3. Interpret and communicate work procedures and company policies to staff.

  4. Supervise the work of the account representative employees to ensure adherence to quality standards, deadlines, and proper procedures, correcting errors or problems.

  5. Discuss job performance problems with employees to identify causes and issues and to work on resolving problems.

  6. Participate in the work of subordinates to facilitate productivity or to overcome difficult aspects of work.

  7. Evaluate employees’ job performance and conformance to regulations and recommend appropriate personnel action.

  8. Provides leadership and guidance for the customer service team, with the aim to exceed customer satisfaction and expectations.

  9. Review, consider and make decisions on implementing process and procedures to improve operations efficiencies.

  10. Oversees cross functional work areas targeted to resolve issues raised by customers.

     

    Organizational Relationships:

     

    Has frequent contact and communicates continuously with customers and all employees.

     

    Qualifications Guidelines

     

    Experience/Training/Education:

     

    Required: High school graduation or equivalent, plus minimum of 3 years of supervisor support experience.

    Preferred: Associate degree or completion of some college business courses.

    Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

     

  • 3 PL warehouse industry, experienced with big box retailers such as Nordstrom, Target, WalMart, etc.
  • EDI, SPS commerce, routing guidelines.
  • Ability to communicate to customers effectively, professionally and courteously.
  • Work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Requires knowledge of office practices, recordkeeping, and reporting systems; business correspondence techniques and English composition, grammar, spelling and punctuation; principles of public relations and communications; records management and file maintenance.
  • Skills required include proficiency in MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook, and Da Vinci CS Data Base and the company’s new TMS system.
