The Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector is expected to adhere to the company’s mission, vision and value statements. Be knowledgeable of the company’s management systems, policies and initiatives for Hospitality, Environmental, and Health and Safety.  You have specific responsibilities within these areas and are expected to understand them.  You will supervise housekeeping services and personnel in guestroom areas to ensure established brand and National Park standards and procedures are maintained under budgetary guidelines.  Included in a tip pool. Equally as important, you are here to have some fun too! 

 

The Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector responsibilities at Jackson Lake Lodge include, but are not limited to:

  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive and Assistant Executive Housekeepers, including housekeeping attendant work if necessary
  • Follow all training and policies as required by personnel and Employee Health and Safety office including blood borne pathogen training, proper lifting, golf cart safety, etc.
  • Ensure personnel are present and on time
  • Receive information on room status and special requirements from the executive housekeepers
  • Assign sections, rooms and tasks to room attendants and housepersons when necessary
  • Maintain communication with housekeeping office advising room status throughout the day on a timely basis; advise housekeeping office of maintenance problems
  • Ensure that all-applicable company policies and procedures are followed
  • Work closely with personnel to promote open communications and ensure that standards are met and assignments completed
  • Make recommendation to Executive Housekeeping staff on commendations, promotions and disciplinary action regarding employees reporting directly to them
  • Conduct room inspections of 40-70 rooms daily to ensure that standards are met; follow up with room attendants on deficiencies
  • Supervise the standards on the housekeeping closets to ensure that everyone is leaving them in a neat and tidy order,  as well as all supplies are stocked as needed in the closets
  • Supervise the work of a group of housekeeping room attendants
  • Directs the day to day work of a section of housekeeping room attendants
  • Must be able to work outside in all weather conditions
  • Must be able to navigate the Jackson Lake Lodge property throughout an entire 8 hour shift
  • Assist Housekeeping Attendants to make sure check-outs and stay over services are completed by 4:00pm
  • Other duties as assigned

 

The Housekeeping Supervisor/Inspector position asks that any candidate be able to demonstrate the following skills or experience:

  • Previous hotel/hospitality experience – Preferred
  • Fluent in speaking, reading and writing English - Required
  • Strong communication skills - Required
  • Ability to perform well under pressure - Required
  • Valid Driver’s License – Preferred
  • Previous supervisory experience – Preferred
