Work Hours (i.e. shift): We have a variety of days and hours available. Candidates must have open availability for work hours that may include daytime, at least 1-2 nights a week and every other weekend.

Starting Salary: $9.00/hour

Our organization is really busy, we're changing lives every day, and we need organized and energetic Cashier for our Outlet Store team at our Fox Cities production, distribution and training facility.

The Goodwill Outlet Store is a new concept here in the Fox Valley that will sell clothing, housewares, glassware, books, media and toys by the pound to our customers who sort through a variety of merchandise bins to select their purchases. Merchandise bins rotate every three hours and then are removed from the sales floor and replaced with a completely different selection of merchandise.

Cashiers will be responsible for customer service, store recovery and run cash register effectively. In addition, cashiers may handle phone calls and maintain checkout area neat, clean & safe.

Position Responsibilities:

• Greets customers in a friendly and enthusiastic manner. Maintains a friendly, helpful attitude toward the customer at all times.
• Assists customers in locating and selecting merchandise.
• Records sales using the cash register and accurately collects payment.
• Handles customer concerns in a courteous and respectful manner, following Outlet Store procedures. Seeks assistance of a team leader when necessary to resolve concerns.
• Takes phone calls to the Outlet Store as needed.
• Maintains a safe, neat and clean checkout area for our customers.
• Must be physically able to work with customers on the sales floor for long periods of time, and be able to bend and twist at the waist with no problem.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

What I must bring:

• Education generally equivalent to a high school diploma is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in a retail environment is preferred.
• Experience of at least a basic level of competency with computers to complete e-learning opportunities and use our intranet, G-Wiz.
• May require the ability to operate a cash register.
• Must have good judgment to recognize clothing categories.
• Must remain productive without direct leadership.

The team member must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move 50 pounds and more. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
