Description

The Accounting Representative II contributes to the company's overall success by setting up Flooring Technicians in software module; assisting CFO/Controller and Director of Corporate Affairs with daily, weekly and monthly routine accounting and reporting responsibilities. This position will be responsible for the following duties and responsibilities:


Responsibilities/duties include but not limited to:

  • File service record notifications for Flooring Technicians on a weekly basis.
  • Ensure branch time sheets are received and maintained.
  • Update Flooring Technician information (i.e. mailing address) and their status.
  • Manage Subcontractor Services emails.
  • Provide loan and advance deduction summaries for the weekly Flooring Technician payroll.
  • Loan start and paid off emails after payroll is processed.
  • File miscellaneous payroll items weekly.
  • Update and email all deduction notification emails to the Flooring Technicians on a weekly basis.
  • Update the Subcontractor GL spreadsheet and balance to the GL summary on a weekly basis.
  • Provide HR with the end of month report for Subcontractors.
  • Review the Flooring Technician chargeback folder at the end of each month to ensure all items are properly filed.
  • Maintain Retainer requests and updates for weekly Flooring Technician payroll, reimbursements and chargeback/deduction items.
  • Provide monthly inactive Flooring Technician update.
  • Manage accounts payable for Flooring Technician deduction items for Home Depot.
  • Assist with year end 1099 reporting.
  • Assist with payroll as needed.

Non Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned

  • Backup for Certify processing administrator, credit memos, and follow-up emails, accounts payable, assets monthly report, tax monthly report, new construction and rehabs.
  • Manage company credit card expense report through Certify.
  • Manage and maintain necessary documents and reporting as directed (i.e. IRS withholdings).

Shifts/Schedules:


  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Monday - Friday


Compensation:


  • $17.00 per hour


. Requirements:


The ideal candidate:

  • Must have intermediate mathematical skills with the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
  • Must have strong communication skills to be able to effectively communicate with all levels throughout the organization via written and verbal communication.
  • Must be a team player but also have the ability to work independently.
  • Must be detail orientated and have the ability to prioritize tasks and duties.
  • Must have ability to multi-task and think clearly when working under pressure.
  • Must have data entry experience with the ability to 10 key by touch.
  • Moderate computer knowledge including the ability to utilize word processing software and the ability to use Microsoft Excel with the proficiency of an intermediate user.
  • 1-2 years accounting experience required.
  • 1-2 years payroll experience (preferred but not required).
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred but not required).
