Job Title: Facilities Technician Location:  Bothell, WA Shift: M-F 8am – 5pm Pay: $24 - $25/hr DOE Temp-to-Hire   JOB SUMMARY  The Facilities Engineering Technician must be able to work independently and under minimal supervision in a Research and Development Lab environment.  Primary responsibilities include but not limited to: support and coordination of lab equipment installations, people moves, maintaining customer goodwill, and helping to maintain business relationships through operational excellence on all tasks.   The Facilities Engineer is responsible for completing his or her work assignments as well as assisting the Facilities Team as requested and reports directly to the Dexter Facilities Manager or designee and works closely with the CMMS and Engineering Team to perform his or her duties.      RESPONSIBILITIES  Performs daily log rounds   Monitor and replace lab support gases as required  Performs minor facility repairs, i.e. patch & paint, leaks, uniâ??strut installs   Assists with new equipment receipt and delivery to location to include commissioning of newly arrived assets i.e. deli fridges, BSC carboy arrangements, BSC and Incubator tubing hookup  Install white boards and assembles shelving as required  Respond to and close general work orders and facility requests when applicable  Dismantle, install furniture and reconfigure for room functionality   Perform cleaning duties as necessary to maintain clean facility   Assist with inventory of new and existing equipment for entry into the CMMS  Supports lab casework removal / installation, installation   Demolition of wooden pallets  Pallet disposal as required  Laboratory sink sediment trap cleanout  Fire Extinguisher Inspection  Eyewash and Safety Shower Inspections  Support lab reorganization requests by scientists to streamline workflow as directed by Facilities Manager  Third party vendor management Assist Shipping & Receiving Team with product overflow as directed by Facilities Manager  Adhere to all safety procedures and practices effecting building facilities and utilities  Maintain library of equipment files, including drawings, O&M manuals, and service records   Maintain 100% of assigned training at all times REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS  High School diploma or equivalent required with two to three years' experience in facility maintenance or equivalent.  Ability to deliver superior customer service   Casual dress and professional etiquette a must  Proficient in MS Word, Outlook and Excel  Positive attitude & high energy  High degree of flexibility and tolerance for change  Ability to follow direction, work in both a team environment and independently, without supervision  Able to perform medium work â??â?? frequently lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling 20 â??â?? 50 lbs, climbing (ascending or descending ladders, stairs), stooping, kneeling, crouching, etc  Familiar with basic hand tools.  Cabinetry or reâ??modeling work a plus  Trades background i.e. Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Instrumentation a plus  Safety First mindset – Must adhere to all safety protocols and work practices  Ability to respond to off hour emergencies, including nights, weekends and holidays required as directed by Facilities Manager  Selfâ??motivated, proâ??active, and able to work with minimal supervision  Demonstrated success working in a highâ??performing, business resultsâ??driven environment.   Excellent oral and written communication skills  Proficiency with standard software including Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint  Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, control loop schematics, blueprints, PLC ladder logic, and P&ID drawings a plus        EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS  Technical or associates degree in facilities maintenance, or related technical discipline (balanced combination of education and on the job experience desired) ***Military experience also considered in lieu of a degree*** Candidate typically has 5+ years combination of education, training, and experience, with a minimum of 2 years working in a hands-on environment.    A skilled craftsperson desired  Why Kelly ® ?
